Last Chance for Slackers
Tina picked up the wedding invitations from Maggie's mom yesterday (at Red Lobster in Poky and I wasn't even invited. The only thing better than Red Lobster is going to Alaska to catch them yourself. Thank you dad.). So you slackers who haven't updated your address yet, now is the time to get them in. I've emailed you; I've tried to call; but I have found out, your phone numbers change as much as your addresses. And as an added bonus I promise to send them to Jenne, which means you won't have to, unless you decide to move between now and whenever Jenne decides to send hers out.

Justin Turned 13
For Justin's thirteenth birthday he decided to take after his Dad and got his arm put into a cast and sling. He was playing football and his is a lineman. He went down in a large group tackle and someone stepped on his left hand with their cleats. His team made the playoffs and this weekend is their first playoff game. He is a bit bummed about not being able to play. I started out with a broken arm or was it that snow skiing incident with my knee, I am getting old and cannot remember. I told him that I was proud of him for getting some injury that he can tell his kids about for years to come. His response was, "Dad can you please get me some more ice."

Weekend in Elk River
OK, it was only one night, the rest of the weekend was spent driving to and from Moscow to take some stuff up for Ty's apartment. But if you get the chance, GO. It was extremely pretty and very relaxing. Everyone either walked or rode the four wheelers around. Not much traffic. We stayed above the General Store and ate huge huckleberry hot cakes for breakfast. They weren't pancackes because they didn't fit in no pan.
If you want a good place to vacation and want to get away from it this is it. They have 2 National Forest campgrounds, one with hook-ups and an RV Park. The General Store has 9 rooms above it and there is a small hotel across the street. There is a pond at the edge of town (and the sewer lagoon you see in the picture). There is Elk River Resevoir about a mile from town and the huge Dworshak resevoir about 20 miles through the mountains.
Wedding Luncheon
Trying to figure out how many people to schedule for a luncheon after Ty's wedding. Any of you all planning on coming?
Also, if enough of you are coming, we can probably get a group rate at a hotel in Logan, but we will need to know and see what we can get.

Ty's Engaged
For those of you who haven't heard, and I think the only one I've told is mom, Ty got engaged last weekend. I actually sent mom a text message because they were traveling through the wilds of Idaho and Montana where cell phone coverage is worse than most 3rd world countries. So Susan, when mom gets there read her text messages to her and dad.
They are planning on getting married Nov. 24 in Logan, with a reception in Dayton that same day. Then honeymooning the rest of the week before vacation is over on Monday.
