San Tan Valley

With the post office changing the zip codes of the Queen Creek area Pinal County decided to make a formal break from Queen Creek. Queen Creek has always treated the Pinal county area near it with a cold shoulder and so the zip code change was a good time to make a name change. The county petitioned the postal service to no longer call this the unincorporated Pinal County area near Queen Creek. We are officially San Tan Valley, Arizona, 85140. Since their is such a low crime rate for the San Tan Valley (no records to tell us otherwise) I wonder if my insurance rates will go down for a while.... Nice thought though.

Little doubt your insurance will go down. In fact, it will probably go up because it is a new area with no data available.

Well I read it on azcentral and the comments were the best part. It kinda reminded me of Snowflake Taylor never to be one.

I didn't know that a hurricane had transported NYC to Phoenix. We never get the good news in Idaho.

And for those of you who don't understand, in the comments the residents of Phoenix sound like the residents of NYC. No wonder the legislature can't pass a budget.

as far as crime goes in that part of the valley... Gilbert has a very high murder rate. FYI. -Nate
